WANTED: Professionals in the fields of marine
science, education, and conservation
We are currently seeking seeking individuals who are dedicated to marine science, education, and conservation, and who would like to share their experiences with students through this website. Professionals and graduate students from any field relating to marine science and conservation are invited to be profiled on this site. From these profiles, students from schools nationwide will learn about various careers related to the marine environment, and can write in questions to be answered and posted. Project S.E.A.-Link will also develop standards-based curricular materials based on the profiles, and teachers will be able to download these materials for use in their classrooms. Project S.E.A.-Link is committed to the reform in science education and its emphasis on inquiry-based learning.
This is a wonderful opportunity to communicate your work to others, and to make a difference in classrooms locally and across the country. Your contribution will help students learn about exciting career opportunities, and will enable teachers to incorporate activities based on current marine science investigations into their curriculum.
Along with your profile, you may share past educational experiences that helped to influence you in your career decision and to provide you with necessary experience. By providing direct links to these opportunities in the form of "interactive resumes," this website will help students investigate and explore the many options available to them.
All you need to do in order to be considered for this website is fill out the web questionnaire and return it to Project S.E.A.-Link. View the questions here.
